What is PCI-DSS and why is it important?
As a business owner, you are most likely familiar with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), which is a unified collection of payment account data security requirements. The security standards they put in place serve to protect your company, as well as financial institutions, from data breaches. Most importantly, the protocols help to prevent the theft of the card holder data.
Gerges Hana is a Network Engineer and System Administrator at Interpreting Technology, heading the charge on PCI DSS compliancy for many businesses in the area and is gearing up for the changes coming in 2018.
After his Computer Sciences education tenure, he has spent his free time gaining technical certifications and is ever diligent in keeping up with the changing IT-Landscape.
